Some skirts I picked up on my skip through the CS's today, totally unplanned. The skirt above i love, so cute on, looks abit crumpled in the photo, is a M&S limited Collection one and cost me £4.00.
this skirt is the one I'm unsure about. It's a Boden Summer skirt, nice print, fits perfectly, but not sure i will wear it. May get ebayed!! ..or put away for October holiday!!

This one i love too. it's in needlecord and is from Hobbs. May get a couple of wears out of it before i put it in hibernation for the Autumn. You can just see the little vintage kangol beret I picked up too.. So cute.
Rapidly realising i have absolutely no plain tops in my wardrobe to go with all the skirts I am acquiring. Grrr the prints always draw me in.. will have to be tough and spend some money on simple plain items too!!

Not much to say today. hoping to see the new Alice in Wonderland movie tonight so i'll blog my review later. I expect i'll love all the stylised costumes!!!

Todays outfit is:

Blue spot teadress Primark buy at the weekend £13

Blue bow neck cardi Red herring £3 via CS

Gold Locket- present

Chunky gold charm bracelet with anchor charms 50p Carboot

black opaques

same red shoes as yesterday since they're low enough to walk into town in!!

Got to listen to the vision... play in the ashes of what you once were.

Good morning. What a lovely day.
Last night i was busy doing crafty things. I managed to finish my journal, so I will have something to jot down my ideas in now. Then below are some pixs of some cards that I made ready so if a birthday crops up I have a card ready. The stamp of the girls face i really love, it's so versatile and it was free on Craft Stamper magazine too.
This one was inspired by a collage card in the same magazine. I already made one similar for my beloved mama's Birthday and she loved it. maybe i could adapt it and put the persons photo whose birthday it is in the frame instead to personalise it. What do you think??
Must have a go using my new seaside stamps by Crafty Individuals now, since spring is on it's way!!

My clothes for today will be these i think. My absolute favourite dress I got from Zara last summer in the sale. I had looked and looked at it but refused to buy it as we were trying to pay for a holiday and then managed to get it in the sale. The shoes are DP sale. I will also add a red cotton fitted cardi from Monsoon also a sale buy and feel very spring like!!

Album of today is Bat For Lashes " Two Suns".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ek3coSedm7o. The video for "Pearls Dream".
Natasha Khan is just fabulous... such amazing style.
I am really looking forward to this week... seeing the lovely Fran this afternoon and catching up with friends later in the week to plan our summer meets. Hoping to maybe book another festival too since we have some money coming in again from me...which will it be???

Monday 8 March 2010

Hello, thought it was about time for another post on my blog now OH is back at work, before i do all the Ebay packing I have stacked in the craft room. My music of choice today is Marina and The Diamonds album "The Family Jewels". I am so loving it, and listening obsessively, and can't wait to see them again at festivals this year. Gosh, summer can't come quickly enough. Please give it a listen!!

Some Photo's of some of my favourite things i found yesterday at the carboot feature in this post. The one below is my new festivalling skirt.Less pink in real life, cost me £1 but it's all swishy and drapy and will look great with sandals or boots and gets me in the mood for sunny days with a big glass of pear cider.

This dress below was 50p. I love the colours and will wear it over a dark brown vest and a gold cardi i also bought for £2 yesterday.

This top below was 50p as well, from Zara. I will wear it with rolled up jeans, and the red cardi also Zara was £1. I'm so glad i found a couple of cardi's which i desperately needed.

Okay another rubbish picture
of what i'm wearing today. One of my Carboot bargain dresses from yesterday- 50p worn with a purple belt i bought in Primark on saterday for 50p. I think the tights are a bit too bright but, oh well, I like them and they were only £1 from Top shop on saterdays shopping trip!! With my brown boots from Clarks with the buttons up the side and my old favourite black fur collared cardi. A butterfly necklace from Accessorise in the sale ages ago finishes my outfit off as inspired by all the girls on the MSE fashion thread love of butterflies.

Maybe pop a couple more pics of my weekend buys up later if i have time.

And it's a sunny day...

Some of my favourite shoes, new and old can't wait for the summer:)

Well thought i would post a terrible pic of me today in my outfit to go walking in and lunch... still not sure about this dress.. i love it but think it makes me look washed out??

Thursday 25 February 2010

second post... first pic of me!!

Well first picture of me and my outfit of the day. Sorry it came out pretty rubbish and made me realise how dirty Bee's mirror is. I need to practise!! I'm wearing a batwing sweater from RI sale (£5), my favourite "hammer" pants RI sale (£15), beaded braclet ( handmade gift from Australia), necklace Warehouse sale (£2), ankle boots carboot (£2).
Also can't seem to position the photo's properly?? Maybe someone can give me a hint here?!
Above is a pic of some of my handmade jiffy bags for ebay packing that i made early this morning. Much nicer than "normal" ones and they recycle some of me and Bee's magazine pile. I just sew pages of good quality magazines with bubble wrap, add stickers for addresses and voila!!
Today my plans include spending my Amazon winnings, boring food shopping and meeting my friend Jacqueline for lunch and immense amounts of gossip.
And it's still snowing....

Wednesday 24 February 2010

One Snowy Wednesday...

My very first post and it's snowing outside again. I have been out to take some parcels to post wrapped up warm in immensely cosy clothing.

my song of the day is Midlake "Acts Of Man". I can't stop listening to it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcHVYrcb6As

Today i haven't quite plucked up the courage to take photo's of my outfits so I will share a chest I altered that now sits in my craft room to hold all my whimsies. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, I used pieces of a jigsaw i had altered to decorate it.
